In this experientially based course counsellors, pastors and caregivers will increase their own understanding of someone living with HIV and his/her situation.
Purpose
To train carers (professional and lay) to provide compassionate emotional and spiritual care and counselling for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. In this experientially based course counsellors, pastors and caregivers will increase their own understanding of this person and his/her situation. A model for integrating emotional and spiritual needs is presented. The goal is to guide the person living with HIV/AIDS towards meaningful, fulfilled and “positive” living.
Date: 15-17 March
Venues: HospiVision Training Centre in Tshwane District Hospital.
