Choose Life: Value-based Response to HIV/AIDS Workshop 11/06/07

Naledi Hospice in collaboration with HospiVision (Pretoria) has scheduled a 3-day workshop in Bloemfontein for church and community leaders which would enable them to develop facilitate and evaluate appropriate ethical and value-based responses to HIV & AIDS. Venue: Ellen Boy Guest House, 114 Andries Pretorius Street, Bloemfontein (next to Naledi Hospice)

Dates: 11 – 13 June 2007 (3-days) Monday to Wednesday

Time: 08h00 – 17h00 daily (including tea and lunch)

You are responsible for your own transport and accommodation. After completion of this workshop and your assignments, you will qualify for a certificate as the training is based on SAQA registered unit standards and accredited at UNISA. Book early as seats are limited to 30 participants only.

Learning Outcomes of the workshop

· Knowledge, attitudes and perceptions about HIV & AIDS (ethical and biblical perspective on values, ubuntu and behavior change), a.w.a.

· beyond the basics of HIV & AIDS (stigma, stats & impact, and a call to action in the Free State Province).

Target Group

Clergy, Sunday School Teaches, Youth Leaders, Lay Ministers, Educators, Facilitators and/or any other community leaders with the ability to develop, facilitate and evaluate ethical and value-based responses o the epidemic.

Registration
