LifeMeal

LifeMeal is a fortified instant food. It is designed to provide people who are ill or living in impoverished conditions with a balanced meal.

 The product is based on the traditional dish of ‘samp and beans’, that is ‘stampmielies’ and dry beans cooked together in one dish. LifeMeal is a combination of pre-cooked maize and pre-cooked beans. This mixture contains a good ratio of amino acids and provide the carbohydrate and protein base. To this is added a major percentage of the daily recommended allowance of vitamins and minerals. This is the accepted South African Dietary allowance for adults and children from the age of four years.

LifeMeal is prepared by the addition of two parts hot water (clean, potable water, but not boiling) to one part of the mixture. It is mixed to the consistency required.

Please note: This product does not require coking, it is pre-cooked.

LifeMeal is produced in four flavours:

2 savoury: beef and chicken

2 sweet: strawberry and chocolate

It is packaged in 500g quantities to provide 5 meals of 100g each (300g when prepared).
